The shareholders of Skylark Co. voted to dismiss its incumbent president, Mr Kiwamu Yokokawa, according to Nikkei. Backed by Nomura Principal Finance Co. and CVC Capital Partners Ltd., Skylark is believed to have recorded a second consecutive year of net losses. (Japan)




Giant Interactive to Repurchase Its Shares

Giant Interactive ('Giant'), an online game developer and operator listed on New York Stock Exchange ('NYSE'), announced a share repurchase programme that will entail a capital deployment of US$150 million. It is backed by Standard Chartered Private Equity Limited. (People's Republic of China)




Apax Partners Reportedly Courting Asian Shareholders

SpiceJet to Fly with WL Ross

W.L. Ross & Co. has reached definitive agreements with existing shareholders of SpiceJet Ltd. for a capital injection of US$100 million. SpiceJet's existing investors include Goldman Sachs and the Dubai-based Istithmar World Capital. (India)
